Everything began having a woman, a dream, and four skincare. Mrs. Estee Lauder and her hubby launched the Estee Lauder Company in 1946. (Heritage, n. m. ) The flagship brand, Estee Lauder, was launched with only 4 products. Today, Estee Lauder products are sold in more than 140 countries and territories, with twelve-monthly revenues greater than $5 billion dollars. (King, n. d. ) Mrs. Lauder was an effective leader and visionary businesswoman, who improved the face of the cosmetic market. (Heritage, n. d. ) She founded the Company with " a culture of quality, design, and unparalleled customer service” which has produced The Estee Lauder Firms Inc. a worldwide cosmetics leader. (About Estee Lauder, d. d. ) Estee Lauder was born and raised in Corona, A queen, New York, by her Hungarian mother and Czech dad. From an early age Estee was considering beauty, and mentored by her chemist uncle, Ruben Schotz. She began the company by selling her uncle's skin care products to cosmetic salons and resorts, because the girl sold all of them better than this individual could. After their relationship in 1930, Joseph Lauder became Estee's business partner. Several years afterwards, Joseph and Estee managed to accumulate $50, 000, which they had planned to use for a great ad campaign. The ad agency declined the business, because the money would barely pay for one full-page ad in a prominent magazine. Rather, Estee had to find different ways to market her items. Against all odds, she managed to build her organization with just $50, 500, and her own interpersonal, conceptual, and technical skills. (Alef, 2010) Throughout her life, Mrs. Lauder demonstrated strong sociable skills. Her most important musical legacy was her belief that in order to make a sale, she must touch the customer.
